Don Doerner

Don Doerner Insurance Agency - Farmers Insurance

OWNER/AGENT

I was raised by a father who was an engineer and a mother who worked as a buyer for a grocery store chain. Early in my life, my parents purchased a print shop in Whittier, California, and later moved us to Eugene, Oregon, where they continued their entrepreneurial journey with another print shop and eventually a book bindery. I attended Willamette High School in Eugene, engaging in sports like football and track, and music, playing instruments in several bands. During high school, I started dating my future wife, and shortly after, launched a mobile DJ business, which I ran for six years.

My journey reflects a blend of entrepreneurship influenced by a strong family legacy and a passion for community and sports.

I attended the University of Oregon but left to start my own book bindery, which I sold before working at Northwest Web. My career took me to Wenatchee, Washington, where I managed the largest print shop in Central Washington and founded a company providing cardstock for craft stores. Returning to Eugene in 1999, I worked for Petersen-Arne, creating a paper company that served global retailers.

The birth of my daughters in 2005 and 2007 coincided with coaching and officiating basketball. By 2023, after exploring new opportunities, I became a licensed insurance agent with Farmers Insurance, eventually purchasing and running my own agency as of 2024, while also obtaining a securities license.
